In the Top 5:

#1 - Office Furniture Innovations LLC
Jayne Edison, President
While heading the real estate division for a large office product supplier, Jayne Edison got the chance of a lifetime when several furniture manufacturers said they would support her if she went out on her own.

In 1999, Edison started her own firm, and seven years later is still going strong, handling furniture management for government, education, corporate and architectural and design entities. The company gained 400 percent last year and is currently a $15 million company. In fact, 2005 was the best year OFI has had, something Edison attributes to her staff.

#3 - Windsor Quality Foods Co. Ltd.
Annie Smalling, Chairman
"Windsor's growth during 2005 is primarily attributable to the acquisition of another food business in December 2004 which doubled the size of Windsor. Additionally, growth across all product lines, and in particular the Jose Olé brand, contributed to the company's overall growth in 2005.

"During 2005 the focus of Windsor was one of integration -- melding the operations of the two businesses into one so they operate as a single company. Windsor continues its integration work in 2006 -- focusing on creating a unified culture while continuing to expand the products and distribution channels of the business."

#5 - Vista Air Services
Christine Ferguson, President
Vista Air Services credits its growth to "a great sales force, great employees and the Women's Business Enterprise Alliance for helping break the barriers for women in the construction industry. It's going to be another record breaking year. Thank you Houston, thank you WBEA and thank you HBJ."
