Shirley is Director of the WBEA - Women’s Business Centers, (WBC), where We develop women to level up statue.”  WBC Program is funded in part by host agency, Women Business Enterprise Alliance, a Non-Profit 501 C-3, and a partner organization for one of the most widely recognized and respected certification programs, in the United States for women business enterprises, and in part by the United States Small Business Administration through a Cooperative Agreement. Shirley’s has assisted over 2500 women entrepreneurs during her tenure at the Center – fueling her passion by being intentional when counseling women about turning their dreams and purpose into business models that can scale to their expectations.  The WBC is all about building business disruptors that will showcase WOMEN niche business ideas and problem-solving capabilities as their stories will influence and impact their business success.  The WBC program is designed to develop strong BUSINESSES that can engage a client in contract opportunities. Shirley also realizes that women businesses require access-to-capital; which is why she has made her mantra – helping women businesses tell their financial story and need requirements through a signature training – where Women Bankers consulate Women Business Owners on the importance of gaining access to capital. Mastering true financial knowledge through vital training on (Revenue Generation, Creating Sufficient Financial Statements) will be the pivoting point of up-leveling.

Moncy Hawkins resigned from corporate after 20 years of managerial experience in Accounting & Finance. Her desire to help those that didn’t grow up with the luxuries of knowing about credit and finances drove her to launch FIG Restoration LLC, a Credit Consulting Company that provides personal attention and life-transforming services to future homebuyers, professionals and business owners that suffer from maintaining a satisfactory credit file. A result-driven track record has allowed Fig Restoration to become the go-to for Credit & Financial Education as well as a vetted and trusted source in the community. Moncy has helped many individuals with credit repair, credit counseling, financial education, and mindset motivation. Moncy is also a Board Certified Credit Consultant, FCRA Certified, a Board Member of Operation Love Outreach Ministry, Co-Chapter Leader of Promote-Her Houston, a SCORE Houston Presenter, former Board Member of Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS), and a former financial educator with AIDS Foundation Houston.

 


 

 

Ms. Nijua Heard, is a Procurement Center Representative with Small Business Administration. Ms. Heard is stationed at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. She has 16 years in Government Contracting as a Contracting Officer. She attended and graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a degree in Business Administration. Ms. Heard also has her MBS from Troy University.  She has served as a Senior Contracting Officer with U.S. Fish and Wildlife, Grant Officer, and Small Business Specialist based out Atlanta, Georgia.

 

Ms. Heard spends a great deal of her time advocating for small businesses through SBA and when she is not working, she still uses her time off to contribute back to the local community as a CO-Chair on the PTA Committee at Clear Creek Intermediate through her daughter school and served on the VP Membership for Toastmaster committee.


 

 
Tasha Harvey has over 22 years’ experience in Banking, Economic Development, Real Estate and Commercial Lending. Tasha’s passion is working with Small Businesses nationwide providing access to capital. As a Business Development Officer with Fund-Ex Solutions Group (1 of 14 Non-Bank SBA 7a Lenders in the country) Tasha provides “White Glove” service, structuring loans to fit the needs of her clients.    She takes pride in helping existing and aspiring entrepreneurs, identify growth strategies as well as ways to maintain profitability and efficiency.   She is a national member of the Urban Financial Services Coalition. Tasha has held several licenses including those in Real Estate and Insurance.  Her tenacious efforts in community engagement have led to formal accolades like the 2017 “Houston Money Week Stellar Award”.   Tasha attests her success to her persistent efforts in nurturing relationships and creating strategic partnerships that result in mutually beneficial impact.  Tasha’s Motto is “With every breath you take, there is an opportunity to be a catalyst of change”.

  

 

Shakeatha Davis is an attorney, speaker, and multi-passionate entrepreneur. she currently serves as Owner and Principal Attorney for the minority woman-owned law firm, the S. Davis Law Group PLLC. Ms. Davis is an expert at assisting small business owners with business advisement and development which she is extremely passionate about. Prior to opening her legal practice, Ms. Davis worked for the legal department of BP America, and Judicial Intern for both Chief Bankruptcy Judge Jeff Bohm and Judge Kenneth Hoyt. She also was selected for the Presidential Management Fellow Finalist Class of 2013. Ms. Davis earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and English from Xavier University of Louisiana. 

 

 Easter Wright is the Economic Development Specialist with the US Small Business Administration. Ms. Wright has been with SBA since 1983 (36 years).  Her First 26 years as a Business Opportunity Specialist was servicing SBA’s Certification Programs. In 2018 she transitioned to Economic Development Specialist servicing the Outreach Division.  She is a veteran with 7 years of service. 


 

 

 

Michelle Chenault, MBA, M Chenault Management Consulting, LLC Michelle has a proven background with over 13 years-experience in the strategic and operational aspects of management. Following a successful career in operations and project management, Michelle now advises new and existing business owners in the areas of planning, operations, legal structure, business plans, and contract procurement. She enjoys working with entrepreneurs, women business owners and non-profit organizations providing them support and leadership in business development.


 

 

As the daughter of an entrepreneur, Cindy Urrutia understands the challenges small business owners face and is passionate about advancing access to affordable capital for entrepreneurs. She joined the PeopleFund team in the summer of 2019 after 12 years in banking with both BBVA and J.P. Morgan Chase. In addition to her experience in the financial sector, Cindy has certifications in real estate and insurance. She has a degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Houston Downtown. Outside of the office, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family finding new things to do, visit, and eat!!
